Where art-making is concerned, Abbey primarily works in the media of painting, video and sculpture. She also works in the format of small run artists books and zines. Her work is inspired by the balance of energies within the universe: the complicated webs, pulses, systems and structures involved with this fluctuating existence. Some of these themes have included experiential phenomena, the subconscious mind, the creation of the universe, permeability of time, and the vibrational undertones of daily experience.
